TeamViewer GmbH is seeking a Staff Java Backend Software Engineer to power the Frontline platform used by frontline workers worldwide. You will design and deliver robust backend systems powering mission-critical workflows across industries.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and container orchestration.
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM.
• Security standards (JWT, OAuth2) and OpenAPI.
• English fluency; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

TeamViewer's Frontline solution empowers frontline workers through workflow-based, real-time assistance on smart glasses, mobile phones, and tablets. Our platform connects the physical and digital worlds, combining 2D and 3D authoring tools to transform how industrial teams collaborate.

We are looking for an experienced and committed Staff Java Backend Software Engineer to help us build and evolve the next generation of the Frontline platform. In this role, you will design and deliver robust backend systems that power mission-critical workflows for industrial teams worldwide.

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the Frontline platform.

• Participate in architecture and system design to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features and seamless integration across the tech stack.

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using modern engineering and CI/CD practices.

• Engage in peer reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions to continuously raise code quality and alignment.

• Take ownership of your domain and deliver results with accountability and curiosity.

• Explore and evaluate emerging technologies that can enhance the platform's capabilities.

Requirements

• University or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of professional experience in backend software development, or proven senior-level expertise in designing and delivering complex software systems.

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, including frameworks such as Spring Data and Spring Security.

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed system design.

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Understanding of security and authentication standards (JWT, OAuth2, OpenAPI).

• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
  Nice to Have

  • Experience working with message queue systems (e.g., NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

  • Experience with public API design and developer-facing integrations.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
