1GLOBAL seeks a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to set the technical direction for its private cloud and bare-metal platforms in Lisbon, Portugal. The role demands experience in architecting, building, and managing large-scale OpenStack and Ceph environments, along with technical leadership capabilities.

You will be responsible for the design and deployment of data centers, ensuring efficient scaling, security, and compliance, while mentoring engineering teams and collaborating across departments.

Qualificações

• Minimum 8 years in infrastructure engineering, with a track record of architecting and operating large-scale production platforms.
• Deep, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production OpenStack clouds.
• Proven experience operating Ceph clusters in production.
• Hands-on experience with Ironic for bare-metal provisioning at fleet scale.
• Expert-level Linux systems engineering on Red Hat / Rocky Linux.
• Deep understanding of high-performance and SDN networking.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Expert in Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture and long-term technical strategy of the private cloud platform.
• Lead the design and rollout of new data center deployments.
• Define standards for the Infrastructure team.
• Partner with DevOps, IP Network, Security, and SRE leadership.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead design reviews.
