HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join a mature data-driven organisation building analytics and data products at scale on Google Cloud. This senior IC role involves owning ingestion, modelling standards, and platform direction, with remote work from Portugal and optional hub visits in Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra.

You will work on an established data platform team, focusing on ingestion, transformation, data quality and governance, and crafting robust pipelines with dbt

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional Data Engineer experience.
• Strong SQL and Python 3.11+ production‑grade code.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT tooling and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Solid dbt experience (dbt Core 1.8+ / dbt Cloud).
• Strong data modelling knowledge: Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud, BigQuery and GCP.
• Hands-on experience building ingestion and pipelines, not just consuming.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Own ingestion and transformation pipelines feeding analytics and downstream data consumers.
• Shape data models and establish modelling standards across domains.
• Lead architectural decisions and establish technical direction for the platform.
• Collaborate in a hands-on engineering environment where depth is valued over process.
