Job summary

Alpineo Consulting is seeking a Splunk ITSM Engineer to join an international team supporting critical IT operations within a large-scale financial services environment. You will administer and optimize the Splunk platform, design dashboards, and ensure monitoring and ITSM integration for stability and performance.

The role emphasizes observability, incident handling, and collaboration across infra, operations, and development teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk Enterprise.
• Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language).
• Experience designing dashboards and reports.
• Experience with alert management and monitoring.
• Index and data management expertise.
• Data onboarding and parsing proficiency.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Solid understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks.
• Experience in log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or PowerShell).
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Nice to have Splunk certifications (Power User, Administrator, Architect, or equivalent).
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Knowledge of Observability, AIOps, and Monitoring solutions.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Previous experience within regulated or financial services environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and enhance the Splunk platform.
• Design, develop, and optimize dashboards, alerts, reports, and searches.
• Integrate Splunk with monitoring and ITSM tools.
• Implement and maintain monitoring use cases for applications, infrastructure, and services.
• Analyze logs, events, and metrics to identify incidents, trends, and root causes.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and development teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ensure platform performance, scalability, security, and availability.
• Contribute to observability strategies and operational excellence initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
