About this Opportunity

We are looking for an AI-native Software QA Tester to join our engineering team in Lisbon (with a hybrid work model and remote flexibility). In this role, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our TripBuilder platform through comprehensive manual testing while contributing to our journey towards increased automation. You'll work closely with our development squads to deliver exceptional quality, joining our QA team at an exciting time of transformation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Test Execution: Execute end-to-end tests, regression tests, and exploratory testing to validate product functionality and performance
• Automated Test Execution: Execute and validate the results of smoke tests and regression tests to ensure critical functionality works as expected
• Test Design & Documentation: Design comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex and non-complex areas, maintaining clear documentation
• AI-Enhanced Workflows: Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to assist with test case generation and improve testing efficiency where appropriate
• Sprint Testing: Manage testing activities within sprint cycles, ensuring timely delivery and communicating blockers effectively
• Customer Bug Validation: Groom and validate customer-reported bugs, working with Product Managers to prioritize fixes
• Cross-Squad Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and squad members to review requirements and ensure quality standards
• Technology Exploration: Stay curious and informed about new QA technology trends, actively participating in our transition towards more automated and AI-native approaches while contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in software testing or QA roles, with strong manual testing expertise
• Testing Expertise: Solid understanding of different testing types (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory) and QA best practices
• AI Tools Experience: Some experience and curiosity in using AI tools for testing purposes, with enthusiasm to explore their potential
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Pragmatic approach to finding solutions, with strong analytical thinking to identify edge cases and design effective test strategies
• Challenge-Ready: Not afraid of challenges and eager to learn new things, with the courage to tackle unknown problems
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple testing tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet sprint deadlines
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to write clear bug reports and collaborate across teams
• Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work across different squads when needed and adapt to changing requirements
