Job summary

Devoteam is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Lisbon to design, develop, and execute test plans for software applications across platforms.

You will build automated scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and other frameworks, perform manual and automated testing, and collaborate with developers to improve quality. The role requires English fluency and a strong foundation in QA practices within a global digital transformation leader.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven QA and test automation experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or JavaScript for automation.
• Experience with test automation tools and API testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC and bug tracking (e.g., Jira).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and consistency.
• Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze and document software defects with clear, detailed descriptions, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements, clarify specifications, and resolve quality issues.
• Monitor and report on test execution progress, test coverage metrics, and quality assurance performance indicators.
• Maintain organized test documentation, test data, and test environments to support efficient testing operations.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve QA processes.
