PlatformE is seeking a software engineer to co-own the platform with a senior engineer, delivering features end to end for global luxury brands.

You will design, build and deploy in production, with direct access to clients, in a small, fast team. Hybrid Porto work is available, with a strong emphasis on ownership and modern AI-assisted workflows.

Qualificações

• 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience with production code.
• Strong Python and a degree in software engineering, CS or equivalent.
• Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience giving code reviews and owning production issues.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain features across our client-facing platform end to end.
• Own deployments and production: monitoring, incident response, and fixes.
• Configure technical builds for enterprise clients to meet delivery dates.
• Review code and raise engineering bar with our senior engineer.
• Work with databases, REST APIs and third-party integrations across the stack.
• Identify and automate repetitive delivery work to keep the team fast.
• Be a technical voice in client conversations when it matters.
• Write clean, well-documented code and keep technical docs up to date.

Your mission

You will co-own our platform together with our senior engineer, in a deliberately small team where your work ships to production and in front of global luxury brands, not into a backlog. You own features end to end: design, build, deploy, run. No layers, no bureaucracy, direct access to the people and clients your code serves, and a modern AI-assisted engineering workflow.

The journey

• Design, build and maintain features across our client-facing platform, end to end.




• Own deployments and production: monitoring, incident response, and the fixes that follow.




• Perform technical builds and configurations for enterprise clients with precision, to agreed delivery dates.




• Review code and raise the engineering bar together with our senior engineer.




• Work with databases, REST APIs and third-party integrations across the stack.




• Identify and automate repetitive delivery work so the team stays small and fast.




• Be a technical voice in client conversations when it matters.




• Write clean, well-documented code and keep our technical documentation alive.

What you'll bring to the team

• 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience, with your code in production today.




• Strong Python; a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.




• Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL and relational databases.




• Working knowledge of Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.




• Experience giving code reviews, not only receiving them.




• The maturity to own a production issue on your own: reproduce, isolate, fix, document.




• Excellent problem-solving with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, and clear communication in English.

Nice to have

• FastAPI (our stack) or another production Python web framework.




• MongoDB or other NoSQL databases; Redis.




• Cloud experience (AWS or similar, S3-compatible storage).




• E-commerce, product configurators or 3D pipelines.




• Deeper DevOps practice.
