Iterable is hiring a Software Engineer II in Lisbon to design and deliver scalable web applications in a hybrid, distributed environment. You will work with Scala/Java, Elasticsearch, and Postgres while collaborating across teams to drive product growth.

The role offers remote-friendly tooling, on-call readiness, and a base salary range of €55,000–€68,000 per year, with benefits like private medical insurance and meal allowances.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience building production-ready, scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Scala and/or Java).
• Experience with Elasticsearch and/or other relevant technologies like Postgres.

• Willingness to take on-call responsibilities.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Legally authorized to work in the EU.

How you will make an impact:

Complete assigned tasks that are comprehensive and thought out

Proactively collaborate with team members to find the best solutions

Form opinions while seeking input from a diverse group of team members on how to solve a problem

Recommend solutions to enhance existing processes and understand resources available to overcome unforeseen issues

Learn to proactively anticipate small roadblocks to accomplishing tasks and use knowledge of business unit processes to navigate

Learn to manage expectations and accurately gauge effort needed to accomplish objectives

We are looking for people who have:

3+ years of relevant software development experience.

Experience building production-ready, scalable web applications.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (ideally Scala and/or Java)

Experience with Elasticsearch and/or other relevant technologies like Postgres.

Desire to work in a highly remote/distributed but collaborative environment. (Iterable has offices in San Francisco, Denver, New York and Lisbon but the vast majority of Engineering has chosen to work remotely)

Willingness to take on-call responsibilities.

Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Legally authorized to work in the EU.

Other Relevant Technologies: Docker / Kubernetes, React

The base salary range for this position in Lisbon, Portugal, is €55,000 – €68,000 per year (gross). This range is provided in anticipation of the requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970), which EU member states are implementing into national law, and reflects the expected compensation at the start of employment for this role.The final offer will be determined by your experience, qualifications, and performance throughout the selection process, while ensuring alignment with our internal equity principles.
