We are looking for Software Engineers to join KWAN who are eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity in the fintech world!

The Challenge

Join the new Lisbon engineering hub of a leading international fintech, working as part of the founding engineering team and as a direct extension of the company’s London headquarters.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on greenfield products with global impact in a product-driven and engineering-led environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance, and resilient software solutions
• Contribute to greenfield products with global impact
• Participate in technical discussions and architecture decisions
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
• Work closely with international engineering and product teams
• Take ownership of technical challenges and contribute to building the foundations of the Lisbon engineering hub

What you bring to the table

Professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Full Stack Engineering with React and TypeScript
• Backend Engineering with Go and/or Python
• Infrastructure Engineering with AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, clean code, and scalable architectures
• Experience working in product-driven and high-performance environments
• Strong autonomy, ownership, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent English communication skills
• Availability to work 4 days per week from the Lisbon office

The selection process is designed to be completed within approximately one week and includes:

• Open evening at the Lisbon office
• Live coding session with an engineer
