Job summary

GBT Solutions, a Portuguese technology company, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer to join our Porto team in a hybrid setup. You will improve reliability, performance and security of production environments through automation, monitoring and scalable infrastructure management.

Key duties include incident triage, container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines; IaC with Terraform or Ansible. This role offers growth in a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Must-have: strong knowledge of Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and/or Splunk.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in Linux-based production environments.
• Manage and orchestrate containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

Position: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps Engineer

Location: Porto - Hybrid

Compensation:

CTI: 1500€ - 1800€ gross salary | 14 payments per year

About this role:

We are looking for SRE / DevOps professionals to help ensure the reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of production environments through automation, monitoring, and efficient infrastructure management.

Main responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in Linux‑based production environments;
• Manage and orchestrate containers using Docker and Kubernetes;
• Implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines;
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools;
• Monitor system performance, metrics, and logs using observability tools;

Requirements:

Must-have:

• Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and/or Splunk;
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions;
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible;

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with OpenTelemetry and security scanning tools;
• Knowledge of DevOps security best practices;
• Backend development experience with Node.js and NestJS;
• Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript;
• Experience working with REST APIs.

Additional information:

After six months of employment with GBT Solutions, direct employment by the client is planned, subject to signing a commitment agreement.
