Qualificações

Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a site manager based in Oaxaca near the area of Juchitán.

The site manager will manage technical, contractual and HQSE tasks of a wind farm under operation, safely and efficiently, in compliance with Mexico law, permits and corporate procedures.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Daily monitoring of the wind farm's activity, performance, and operation, including ensuring work is planned and executed safely.
  • Identify opportunities to improve wind farm performance by analyzing operational data and trends, minimizing turbine downtime and other incidences.
  • Assess failures at the primary level (turbine) and estimate energy losses.
  • Analyze alarms, incidents, and occurrences at the wind farm, collaborating proactively with VR’s local back office for information gathering.
  • Act as the primary communication interface with site operating staff, utilities, and independent system operators (where applicable).
  • Monitor O&M provider activities, ensuring compliance with agreements and legal, HQSE, and manufacturer guidelines, in accordance with standards of a reasonable and prudent operator.
  • Respond to events, activating necessary measures which may involve external intervention from the O&M provider.
  • Communicate diligently with O&M providers regarding incidents, follow up on responses, and collaborate with VR’s local back office.
  • Conduct regular meetings/calls with O&M providers to review progress and performance.
  • Review O&M provider reports with VR’s local back office, challenging content if necessary.
  • Work with WTG and BOP O&M companies to ensure scheduled maintenance during low wind periods.
  • Validate the preventive O&M plan annually with VR’s local back office.
  • Supervise subcontractors’ HSE services, including safety supervision in nacelle (max 12 per year) per GWO procedures.
  • Supervise social and environmental subcontractors on site.
  • Gather information for HQSE and ESG reports, and during CFE and authority visits.
  • Follow up with local stakeholders on behalf of the client if necessary.
  • Perform physical inspections on site, including asset condition inspections.

Key Requirements

  • Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, or related).
  • Deep knowledge of HQSE requirements for wind farms and their implementation.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to climb heights, physically fit, and pass Human Performance and Physical evaluations.
  • Previous experience as a wind turbine technician or in wind farms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with good initiative.
  • Driving license required.
  • Residence in Juchitán area.
