Job summary

NKT in Esposende, Portugal, is launching a new global PIM platform. We seek a Service Manager to own the live service, act as the central liaison between business stakeholders, the implementation partner, and internal IT and Digital Commerce teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
• Experience with Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), or similar enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
• Experience collaborating with external software vendors and implementation partners.
• Good communication skills, able to bridge technical and business audiences.
• English required.
• Prior exposure to product data governance and taxonomy management.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation of the PIM platform and other assigned services once transitioned into live service.

About The Role

NKT has selected a new global Product Information Management (PIM) platform, following a structured vendor selection process. Implementation is being carried out together with our partner, currently in the discovery phase, with full roll‑out to follow. To support this transformation, we are looking for a Service Manager for PIM, based in our Esposende office, who will be responsible for the service once live and act as the central point of contact between business stakeholders, the implementation partner, and NKT’s internal IT and Digital Commerce teams. This is a great opportunity to help shape a brand-new enterprise platform from the ground up, build the operating model, and grow into a long-term service ownership role as NKT’s digital product data ecosystem matures. Services within the Digital Commerce domain will be added to the candidate's area responsibility depending on the individual’s skills and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

Service Management

• Own the day-to-day operation of the PIM platform and other assigned services once transitioned into live service.
• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes related to the platform.
• Coordinate issue resolution with the platform vendor, the implementation partner, and internal NKT IT teams.
• Maintain service documentation, knowledge base, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with NKT's IT governance, security, and data protection requirements.

Implementation Support

• Act as a key contact for the ongoing implementation of the platform during discovery and subsequent delivery phases.
• Support requirements for validation, configuration decisions, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Help coordinate data migration and data quality activities ahead of go-live.
• Support change management and end-user training across markets.

Business Partnership

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Product Management) and the technical/vendor teams.
• Gather, document, and prioritise business requirements and enhancement requests.
• Support product data governance, taxonomy, and data quality standards within the PIM solution.
• Facilitate workshops with regional and functional stakeholders.
• Prepare and lead Steering Committees.

Integration & Continuous Improvement

• Support integrations between PIM and adjacent systems, including ERP, CRM, CPQ, eCommerce, and DAM.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline product data processes.
• Contribute to the PIM roadmap and ongoing service improvement plans.
• Track service performance, usage, and operational KPIs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Information Systems, Engineering, Marketing or a related field or similar professional experience.
• Experience with Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), or similar enterprise platforms;
• Understanding of incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
• Experience collaborating with external software vendors and implementation partners.
