Kake is a remote-first company building streaming experiences for web and Connected TV. We seek a Senior Web & Video Player Engineer to own playback features across web and CTV, collaborating with product and engineering to ship reliable video experiences.

You’ll design and implement video player components using Bitmovin, JW Player, HLS.js or Shaka, optimize QoE, and contribute to testing and documentation in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of web development with deep expertise in JavaScript and web video playback.
• Experience building and maintaining video players and live playback components for web and Connected TV platforms.
• Hands-on experience with streaming frameworks Bitmovin, JW Player, HLS.js, or Shaka, including live streaming troubleshooting.
• Ability to debug and optimize playback performance (rebuffering, startup, stability).

Responsabilidades

• Design, architect, and implement video player features across web and Connected TV platforms.
• Build and optimize video player components using Bitmovin, JW Player, HLS.js, or Shaka.
• Troubleshoot playback issues (rebuffering, latency, live streaming).
• Analyze QoE metrics to improve real-world playback quality and latency.
