Job summary

Darkroom seeks a frontend-focused designer/engineer to own features end-to-end for Shadow, from initial user conversations to production-ready screens. You will design in Figma and code in React, shipping thoughtful UI that aligns with our brand and product direction.

You’ll collaborate with subject-matter experts—media buyers, strategists, creatives—to learn workflows and translate them into robust, data-dense interfaces.

Qualifications

• Shipped product UI you’re proud of.
• Strong React, TypeScript and CSS.
• Visual and interaction design skills.
• Curiosity about how people work and what they need.
• Ability to bridge design and frontend engineering.
• 5+ years across design and frontend experience.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from concept to production.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to learn workflows.
• Turn insights into product features: dashboards and conversations.
• Maintain UI/UX consistency across the app and design system.
• Refine type, spacing, motion, loading and empty states.
• Prototype quickly in code or Figma and validate with users.
• Create new interaction patterns for agent-driven work.
