Job summary

Nordea in Portugal, Lisbon, is seeking a Senior Operation Analyst for Transaction Monitoring & SWIFT Screening to join NAM Portugal. You will act as SME for detecting and reporting complex suspicious financial activity and ensure compliance with sanctions screening across SWIFT flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analysis, or equivalent.
• Professional English (spoken and written) mandatory.
• 4–7 years in AML, Transaction Monitoring, and/or Sanctions Screening.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of complex, high-risk monitoring alerts.
• Review dispositions and provide QA feedback to junior analysts.
• Identify money-laundering typologies and suspicious patterns across jurisdictions.
• Oversee end-to-end screening processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
