Job summary

Nordea Asset Management Portugal is seeking a Senior Transaction Monitoring & SWIFT Screening Analyst to ensure compliance across all screening and monitoring activities. You will mentor juniors, guide investigations, and support onboarding of new clients while upholding high standards of regulatory compliance.

The role requires expertise in AML, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening, with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills in a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years' experience in AML/Transaction Monitoring
• Professional English (written and spoken)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics or related
• Knowledge of asset management and UCITS/AIFs
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation of complex AML/Transaction Monitoring alerts
• Review and QA case dispositions by junior analysts
• Identify financial crime typologies such as TBML and terrorist financing
• Act as escalation point for complex cases
• Suggest new detection scenarios and improve monitoring coverage
• Perform retrospective reviews as required by regulators
