Workato is seeking an exceptional System Architect to lead the design and evolution of our platform architecture. This hands-on role demands deep expertise in secure, scalable, and cost-efficient systems, with responsibilities spanning architecture decisions that affect performance, security, reliability, and modularity across the platform.

You will design microservices, craft production-ready specs, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Security, SRE, and Infra teams to establish

Qualificações

• 8+ years building scalable distributed systems.
• 3+ years in System/Platform Architect roles.
• Experience with 100+ services and monoliths.
• Strong Golang coding experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-team architectural initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Architect microservices and platform features from concept to production-ready specifications.
• Create technical designs and proofs-of-concept in Golang.
• Architect secure, fault-tolerant systems with automated failover, circuit breakers, and end-to-end encryption.
• Plan migration strategies and phased implementation timelines.
• Review and approve architectural designs; lead architecture review sessions.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, SRE and Infrastructure to set platform standards.
• Mentor engineers on architectural best practices and cost analysis.
• Write ADRs, design documents, runbooks, and API specifications.
