SAP is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer (SRE) for the Sovereign Cloud SMS team within Technology and Engineering. You will secure and scale the foundational platform, work with a globally distributed team, and focus on reliability, security posture, and platform hardening across identity, secrets, and supply chain) to ensure uptime and resilience.

You will drive operational excellence, lead disaster recovery drills, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across teams to navigate

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience leading engineering projects and cross-functional program teams.
• Strong understanding of core SRE principles in a globally distributed product.
• Experience with modern monitoring tooling (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Background in security or security-adjacent roles with strong security foundations.
• Proven track record in end-to-end implementation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix administration, networking, and large-scale cloud environments.
• Advanced proficiency with IaC, scripting, and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, PowerShell, CI/CD).
• Experience with access control and authentication practices; Active Directory a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Drive reliability, security posture, and operational excellence of the SMS platform.
• Lead infrastructure hardening, backup validation, and disaster recovery drills for global scale.
• Define disciplined operational processes and guide trade-offs across deployment plans and infrastructure investments.
• Mentor junior engineers in setting and maintaining DevOps and SRE best practices.
