A2IT Technology in Portugal is seeking a Senior Distributed Systems & SRE Lead to drive reliability and scalability for a global data infrastructure spanning Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and more. You will own high-availability operations, lead on-call rotations, run RCAs, and mentor engineers while delivering automation with Terraform and Ansible across hybrid environments.

This role demands strong Linux administration, fluent Portuguese and English, and a track record of solving

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and Solr.
• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, and Hadoop/MapR.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems such as Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, and Hadoop/MapR.
• Act as an escalation point for major incidents and complex technical challenges.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive permanent solutions to recurring issues.
• Manage cluster health, scaling, upgrades, and migrations.
• Develop automation solutions using Terraform and Ansible to standardize operations globally.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across large-scale enterprise environments.
