Datahouse AG, a leading data and software solutions provider, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript / React) for a hybrid role in Lisbon, Portugal. You will contribute to a web application helping real estate owners assess sustainability performance, working with a Scrum team of eight and collaborating with teams across Switzerland and Portugal.

• Requires a university degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
• At least 3+ years as a full-stack web developer on long-term projects.
• Proficiency in TypeScript with hands-on React, Node.js, GraphQL, RESTful APIs and SQL.

Your Team and Your Mission

Our team develops a web application that empowers real estate owners to understand and improve the sustainability performance of their buildings. By combining data-driven insights with intuitive planning tools, we help users assess key sustainability aspects, explore future renovation measures, and make informed decisions about their properties. Our mission is to support real estate owners on their journey toward a decarbonized future by turning complex sustainability challenges into clear, actionable strategies. As a Scrum team of eight people, we work collaboratively across different disciplines to continuously develop and improve our solution.

Your Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented environment while taking ownership of the following:

• Shape the Future of Innovation: Take the lead in designing and implementing groundbreaking customer projects, creating scalable, maintainable applications that set new quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate Across Borders and Teams: Partner closely with talented colleagues in Product Management and UX/UI from diverse locations, including Switzerland and Portugal, to co-create and deliver impactful new features.
• Champion Reliability and Excellence: Play a key role in ensuring applications perform flawlessly, employing regular code reviews, optimizationand thorough testing.
• Drive Positive Change: Contribute to refining engineering processes, promoting improvements in coding standards and best practices that uplift the entire team.
• Empower the Next Generation: Share your expertise by mentoring junior engineers, offering meaningful guidance and constructive feedback to foster their professional growth.

Your Profile

• A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Scienceor a related field
• At least 3+ years of experience as a full-stack web developer, including meaningful contributions to a complex, long-term project
• Proficiency in a typed language like TypeScript, with hands-on experience in React, Node.js, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and SQL
• A strong grasp of software engineering principles, design patternsand best practices to build high-quality, maintainable solutions
• A self-organized, collaborative team player eager to work with a talented and supportive team of developers and designers across Switzerland and Portugal
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to approach challenges thoughtfully and effectively
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure seamless collaboration within an international team
