Capital on Tap is expanding its Lisbon team. We are hiring Senior Full stack Engineers to build credit card and payment products for small businesses. The role starts remote with a plan to move to a hybrid model (two days on site in Lisbon) as the office opens.

You will own the SDLC, learn new technologies, and share knowledge within a collaborative team. We value learning, initiative, and a proactive, supportive attitude.

We opened our first Portuguese office in Porto in autumn 2025, and in less than a year it has grown to a team of 50. Lisbon is the next step. We're opening our first office in the city and looking for engineers to join as founding members of the team, helping shape how we build, hire and work here from day one.

The role starts out fully remote. Once our Lisbon office is open, it will move to a hybrid set-up of two days a week on site.

This is a multiple-headcount role, so please don't be put off if you've seen it advertised for a while.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for Senior Full stack Engineers to help us build the best credit card and payment products for small businesses. • You’ll build robust and scalable solutions using .Net technology
• From the first line of code to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement - you’ll own the SDLC
• Teamwork makes the dream work - you’ll partner with Product Managers, QA’s, and fellow Software Engineers
• You’ll build bulletproof unit and integration tests to keep our software sharp and our users happy
• Bugs happen. When they do, you’ll be ready to troubleshoot and tweak as needed
• You’ll bridge the gap between tech speak and business goals, ensuring everyone’s on the same page and moving forward together
• Good testing practices, in both Unit and Integration testing
• Good understanding of database technologies
• A passion for learning new skills and technologies
• A proactive, supportive, and collaborative team player
• Databases: SQL Server, MongoDB
• First stage: 30-minute intro, CV review, and values with a Talent Partner
• Second stage: 45-minute “Tech Chat” with a Team Manager
• Final stage: 90-minute Code Pairing + 30-minute Values Interview
