Your Role

Kuehne+Nagel is enhancing operational excellence through a Global Observability Platform using Grafana LGTM (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir). The platform aims to unify monitoring and provide comprehensive insights across applications, services, and infrastructure.

• Integrate logs, metrics, traces, and events for holistic system monitoring.
• Improve performance and reliability by prompt issue resolution.
• Promote a culture of observability within the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Support development teams in observability best practices.
• Instrument Java applications for monitoring and tracing.
• Maintain tooling for the observability platform.
• Create dashboards, alerts, and reports using Grafana LGTM.
• Develop self-service tools for clients to manage dashboards and alerts.
• Establish governance frameworks for platform usage.
• Provide training and support to promote observability adoption.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate observability into development processes.
• Engage in infrastructure tasks, including Kubernetes and Terraform.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, OpenSearch.
• Proficiency in Java and application instrumentation.
• Knowledge of Grafana LGTM components is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry standards.
• Experience with agents/collectors like Grafana Agent, Fluentd, Prometheus.
• Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
• Interest in learning Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Passion for fostering a culture of observability and continuous improvement.
