Job summary

A Bosch Home Comfort Portugal está contratando um Senior Software Engineer para integrar equipes de desenvolvimento de software e DevOps. Você trabalhará com metodologias modernas e acompanhará todo o ciclo de vida do software, com foco em builds reprodutíveis, qualidade de código e entrega contínua.

O candidato ideal possui experiência em CI/CD, infra-estrutura como código e conhecimento de ferramentas relacionadas; inglês fluente é desejável para colaborar com equipes globais.

Qualifications

• Formação em Ciências da Computação, Engenharia de Software, Engenharia Elétrica ou áreas correlatas.
• Experiência sólida em desenvolvimento de software, CI/CD, DevOps e práticas ágeis em escala.
• Conhecimentos práticos de Bash, Git, Python, Go e C.
• Conhecimento prático de Linux e Windows.
• Ferramentas de DevOps: Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira e GitHub.
• Experiência com IaC (Ansible, Terraform) e administração de servidores (Windows/Linux) é um plus.
• Experiência com MATLAB/Simulink, NoSQL (MongoDB), Grafana, Conan e Maven é benéfica.

Responsibilities

• Projetar e melhorar fluxos de CI/CD para apoiar equipes de software desde o desenvolvimento até testes e entrega.
• Automatizar builds, testes, análise de código, empacotamento e atividades de release com feedback útil.
• Concentrar-se na qualidade do software ao longo do ciclo de vida, com foco em testabilidade, builds reprodutíveis, controle de versão e rastreabilidade.
• Colaborar com equipes de software para transformar necessidades reais em melhorias de plataforma.
• Melhorar a experiência do desenvolvedor, reduzindo trabalhos manuais repetitivos.
• Garantir a confiabilidade dos sistemas de entrega monitorando a saúde do pipeline e resolvendo gargalos.

Join the Electric Solutions group at Bosch Home Comfort, where software engineering and DevOps come together to support the development of heat pump applications. You will work closely with engineers using model-based development approaches, building a strong understanding of how their software is designed, implemented, tested, integrated, and maintained.

You will use that understanding to shape reliable, practical tools and workflows that make continuous software development easier. From fast feedback during development to reproducible builds and releases, your work will help teams deliver high-quality software with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable continuous development: Design and improve CI/CD workflows that support the way software teams work, from early development and integration through testing and delivery.
• Enhance automation: Automate builds, tests, code analysis, packaging, and release activities, with useful feedback that helps engineers identify issues early.
• Put software quality first: Consider what matters throughout the development lifecycle, including testability, reproducible builds, version control, traceability, and maintainability.
• Partner with engineers: Collaborate with software teams and turn real needs into effective platform improvements.
• Improve developer experience: Reduce repetitive manual work and help teams integrate and validate changes frequently and reliably.
• Keep delivery systems dependable: Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot build and integration issues, and address bottlenecks across teams and sites.
• Scale delivery infrastructure: Contribute to reliable and scalable build infrastructure, including cloud-based services.

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Professional Experience

• Methodologies: Solid experience in software development, CI/CD, DevOps, and agile practices at scale.
• Programming: Practical programming skills in Bash, Git, Python, Go, and C.
• Operating Systems: Practical knowledge with Linux and Windows systems.
• DevOps Tooling: Practical knowledge of Jenkins, SonarQube, jFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, Jira, and GitHub.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform) and server administration (Windows/Linux) is a plus.
• Additional Tech Stack: Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB), Grafana, Conan, and Maven is beneficial.

Languages

• Fluent in English.
