Checkmarx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Portugal to join our R&D teams building cloud-native, AI-driven microservices. You will work with Go and Python backends, scale services, and contribute to AI-enabled features.

The role emphasizes production readiness, Kubernetes deployment, and collaboration with multiple teams. English communication is essential, and the ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in distributed systems and modern cloud architectures, based in Braga, Portugal.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Go and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Comfortable in a multi-team environment and CI/CD practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate distributed microservices.
• Contribute to AI-driven features and pipelines.
• Own services end-to-end: architecture, coding, testing, CI/CD, observability.
• Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes following GitOps.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
