AgileEngine in Portugal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design agentic workflows using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AI orchestration patterns for enterprise customers. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and auditability in production systems.

You will mentor engineers, define production-ready patterns, and collaborate with product and engineering leaders to deliver complete solutions from prototype to production.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in a software product development environment.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and React.
• Proficiency with Relational Databases.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, tool-using LLM applications, or orchestrated workflows.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, RAG, vector search, agent evaluation, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Ability to provide agents with context, constraints, and technical direction.
• Strong testing, observability, security, and failure-recovery practices.
• Experience with TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and AWS.

Responsabilidades

• Design agentic workflows coordinating tools, services, data, and human approvals.
• Develop reusable agent orchestration patterns and context management.
• Use agentic coding tools across planning, implementation, testing, and review.
• Integrate agents into development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Set standards for observability, security, and governance of agents.
• Prototype new agentic capabilities and productionize successful experiments.
• Deliver complete products, not just demos or isolated integrations.
• Identify ways to boost engineering productivity and delivery through agentic development.
• Mentor engineers and shape an agentic-first technical strategy.
• Collaborate with leaders to connect capabilities to meaningful outcomes.
• Design agentic apps around user needs, including UX, permissions, audit trails, and error handling.
• Move from prototype to production addressing performance, scalability, security, and maintenance.
