About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our PHP Backend Development Team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing and maintaining our core backend services while contributing to a high-performing development team. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the Nordics, Germany, and the UK, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver powerful, data-driven solutions that support the skilled trades and construction industries.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services and web applications using PHP, Laravel, Eloquent, GraphQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Design scalable database models and schemas that support business logic and performance needs.
Implement and maintain GraphQL endpoints for efficient and structured data exchange.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong Automated Test Coverage using PHPUnit.
Work closely with Product Owners, SMEs, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality features.
Support the team in adopting and improving DevOps practices across the development lifecycle.
Use tools like Jira and GitLab for task tracking, version control, and team collaboration.
Apply Agile development methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and enhancements.
Stay current with emerging technologies, including the use of AI to improve development workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, Eloquent, GraphQL, and SQL.
Proficient in Database Modeling and Design (Microsoft SQL Server).
Experience with Automated Unit Testing using PHPUnit.
Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Skilled in Jira, GitLab; familiarity with SonarQube is a plus.
Proficient in Agile environments with a collaborative mindset.
Passionate about optimizing development workflows with the latest AI technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and clear, fluent communication in English (spoken and written).
