Körber Supply Chain in Portugal seeks an experienced Software Architect to design robust, scalable logistics software architectures and mentor engineers. You will analyze existing systems, promote standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in CS or Software Engineering, is proficient in C#/.NET, API design, and modern development practices, with a focus on performance, security, and modularity. Remote work options may apply.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable software architectures for logistics applications.
• Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization and modernization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Define and promote architectural standards and best practices across development teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance our logistics software portfolio.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in developing C# / .Net projects
• Broad overview of development methods and software patterns
• Experience in developing modular and expandable software
• Good knowledge of interface technologies / API design. E.g. plane TCP/IP socket, Rest, Websocket in both design and technical implementation.
• Ability to select correct level of complexity - not all problems demand rocket-science complex solutions
• Awareness of stability and performance with respect to computing power and memory
• Basic knowledge of state-of-the-art security concepts
