Clever Advertising is seeking a Senior SEO Specialist (Contractor) to drive SEO strategy for US sports betting and iGaming verticals. You will perform keyword research, audits, and technical optimization while collaborating with content and development teams to improve organic visibility.

The role requires 5 years in SEO, strong analytics tool expertise, and CMS familiarity (WordPress/Shopify). A data-driven mindset and ability to deliver actionable reports are essential.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years in SEO or a related role.
• Proficient with analytics tools (GA, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of keyword research, on-page optimization and technical SEO.
• Experience with WordPress or Shopify CMS platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Lead targeted keyword research and competitive gap analysis for US sports betting and iGaming.
• Collaborate with content to create SEO briefs, guides, and content guidelines.
• Perform content audits and optimize metadata, headers, and internal linking.
• Optimize URL structures, schema markup, and site architecture for authority.
• Monitor performance with GA, GSC, Ahrefs, and other tools; report to stakeholders.
• Coordinate off-page SEO and link-building with sports, news, and iGaming sites.
• Analyze competitor strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• Deliver weekly or monthly performance reports to stakeholders.
• Diagnose crawlability/indexing issues and improve Core Web Vitals.

What Will You Do?

• Conduct targeted keyword research and competitive gap analysis across US sports betting (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL...) and iGaming verticals (online slots, live casino, table games)
• Collaborate closely with the content team to create SEO-optimized briefs, style guides, and content guidelines aligned with the intent of US sports bettors;
• Perform content audits to identify optimization opportunities across keyword targeting, metadata, headers, and internal linking structures;
• Optimize on-site elements including URL structures, schema markup, and internal linking to improve authority distribution and organic visibility;
• Monitor, analyze, and report performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and DeepCrawl;
• Coordinate off-page SEO and link-building initiatives with authoritative sports, news, and iGaming websites;
• Analyze competitor strategies across keywords, content structure, and backlink profiles to identify growth opportunities;
• Deliver clear and actionable weekly or monthly performance reports to stakeholders;
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to crawlability, indexability, canonicalization, structured data, Core Web Vitals, and site architecture;
• Stay up to date with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging industry tools;
• Support SEO strategies tailored to US state regulations and regional search behaviors.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

• 5 years of experience in SEO or a similar role;
• Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools;
• Good understanding of keyword research, content optimization, and technical SEO fundamentals;
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Shopify;
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities;
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Ability to collaborate effectively with content, marketing, and development teams;
• Proactive attitude and willingness to stay current with SEO trends and best practices.
