Jobgether is seeking a Staff Security Operations Engineer based in Portugal to strengthen security operations for open-source ecosystems. You will design, implement, and evolve security controls, tools, and policies across a globally distributed environment, focusing on threat intelligence, incident response, and risk management.

Qualificações

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent background.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and motivation to work at security technology forefront.
• Experience with threat modelling and risk management frameworks.
• Knowledge of security architecture and modern security tools.
• Experience consuming threat intelligence feeds to inform defense.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
• Proven ability to own deliverables in demanding environments.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and evolve security operations standards, procedures, and playbooks.
• Improve security architecture across infrastructure and development processes.
• Evaluate, deploy, and improve security tools and practices.
• Identify, investigate, contain, and remediate security threats and attacks.
• Apply threat modelling and risk management to prioritize controls.
• Lead tabletop exercises and security operations activities across teams.
• Develop security learning materials and strengthen organizational capabilities.
• Monitor security KPIs and guide continuous improvement.
• Contribute to open-source threat intelligence and security knowledge sharing.
• Develop thought leadership through talks, posts, and whitepapers.
