Objectives:
We are looking for a senior team member to join our Risk team and contribute to the development, monitoring and continuous improvement of our risk management framework. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong analytical mindset, solid risk management expertise and the ability to translate complex data into clear, business-oriented insights.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Define, implement and monitor risk strategies aligned with Volkswagen Financial Services' objectives, local business priorities and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyse risk performance, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and areas requiring management attention.
- Prepare and present risk analyses, insights and recommendations for local risk committees and relevant governance forums.
- Support model validation activities, including PD and LGD models, and contribute to the analysis and enhancement of impairment models.
- Define and maintain governance models, policies, processes and procedures in line with local, national and global requirements.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and best practices related to risk models, model risk management and the use of internal and external data.
- Define targets and implement measures to improve automated decisioning, ensuring alignment with Volkswagen Financial Services' goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements, Volkswagen Financial Services HQ requests and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Promote high-quality deliverables by reviewing outputs, strengthening data quality and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations and best practices.
- Develop and maintain analytical models, business cases and dashboards to support risk-based decisions, new initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner for risk-related topics across the organisation.
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within financial services, banking or the automotive sector.
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and data modelling.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for building dashboards, reports and management insights.
- Good understanding of risk management principles, governance frameworks, reporting requirements and model-related topics.
- High attention to detail combined with a practical, business-oriented mindset.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and financial information into messages that are accessible to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
- Proactive, collaborative and resilient, with a strong sense of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
