Job summary

Five9 in Portugal is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Core Software Quality Engineering organization. You will design and implement automated tests for the web frontend and REST APIs, and help modernize the Python-based testing framework across a remote delivery team.

You'll collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps, drive CI/CD improvements, and reduce flaky tests while thriving in an inclusive, team-first culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in test automation with framework ownership.
• Hands-on Python 3 and OOP/multithreading.
• Experience automating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and JIRA.
• Strong analytical and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for Five9 applications.
• Analyze results and root-cause failures.
• Extend the Python automation framework and build internal tools.
• Improve CI/CD integration and reduce flaky tests.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
