Job summary

Welvaart is seeking a Test Leader in Lisbon (hybrid) to drive testing strategy and governance across client projects. You will coordinate test analysts, plan testing activities, validate test cases and ensure alignment with business goals and delivery timelines.

The role demands proven leadership in QA, STLC expertise, and strong collaboration with PMs, analysts and developers to support Go/No-Go decisions and continuous quality improvement within Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Test Leader, Test Manager or Senior QA Consultant.
• Experience defining testing strategies and test plans.
• Experience coordinating and leading testing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple testing streams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Define and contribute to Test Strategies and Master Test Plans.
• Plan, organize and coordinate testing activities across projects.
• Design, review and validate test cases according to business and project requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise Test Analysts throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Execute functional, integration and user acceptance testing activities.
• Monitor testing progress and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Record, analyze and track testing results using dedicated testing tools.
• Manage defects and coordinate issue resolution activities.
• Create and maintain testing documentation and deliverables.
• Produce testing status reports and quality metrics.
• Support Go/No-Go decisions by providing accurate testing assessments.
• Organize and lead testing governance meetings and project testing committees.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Business Stakeholders.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and testing results.
• Promote testing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
