Alex Staff is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with automation to join a US education-tech company operating in Portugal. The role blends manual testing with automation, with an expected 70/30 automation-to-manual split over time.

You will test complex web applications UI and API layers, write and maintain Cypress tests, and collaborate with developers in an Agile environment. Proficiency in English is required; Russian/Ukrainian skills are a plus.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience as Manual QA at a senior level.
• Hands-on QA automation experience: UI or API tests.
• Automation-minded with basic programming concepts.
• Knowledge of HTTP, HTML, AJAX, JSON, REST APIs.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Strong English; interviews in English.
• Ability to communicate in Russian or Ukrainian.

Responsabilidades

• UI and API testing of complex integrated web applications.
• Developing and refining test plans.
• Writing and maintaining automated tests (primarily Cypress).
• Collaborating with developers in an Agile environment.
• Tracking and managing test cases with JIRA, TestRail, and QMetry.
• Identifying areas where manual testing can be automated for reliability.
