Job summary

Kake, a remote-first company, seeks Senior QA Engineers to own quality end-to-end for high-performance systems. You will collaborate with product and engineering, design and execute test strategies, and contribute to automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in QA, strong manual and automated testing skills, and experience with web apps, APIs, and back-end services. This role supports flexible hours to overlap with distributed teams globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development workflows.
• Ability to review application code and understand system behavior when investigating issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

• Participate in requirement reviews and help identify risks early in the development process.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience testing software developed with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT.

• Experience contributing to test strategy, QA processes, or quality initiatives at a senior level.
• Comfortable working flexible hours to overlap with distributed teams across different time zones.
