1228 Vision Box - Soluções de Visão por Computador, S.A. seeks a Senior QA Engineer to drive testing across software and hardware‑integrated products and lead quality initiatives. You will design strategies, mentor peers, and ensure release readiness through data‑driven quality gates.

The role encompasses end‑to‑end validation, hands‑on testing of devices, and collaboration with Product, Development, and Operations to minimize risk and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualificações

• Ideally 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong track record of defining test strategies, executing manual and automated testing, validating software and hardware‑integrated solutions in laboratory environments, and leading quality initiatives across Agile development teams.
• Strong knowledge of software quality engineering practices and hands‑on experience with test automation technologies.
• Experience validating solutions that combine software and physical devices and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Definition and execution of quality strategies, test approaches, and quality standards across products and teams, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
• End‑to‑end validation of complex software and hardware‑integrated solutions with manual, exploratory, automated, and lab testing to ensure readiness and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical leadership in quality engineering practices, test automation frameworks, and testing methodologies, mentoring engineers and fostering continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Architecture, Operations, and Support to identify quality risks early and establish quality gates for releases.

Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering reliable, scalable, and high‑performing products. In this role, you will drive quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging a combination of manual, exploratory, and automated testing approaches. By validating end-to-end solutions in both laboratory and production‑like environments, including hands‑on testing of software and company devices, you will play a key role in identifying risks early, improving product quality, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Main Responsibilities

Definition and execution of quality strategies, test approaches, and quality standards across products and teams, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. End‑to‑end validation of complex software and hardware‑integrated solutions, combining manual, exploratory, automated, and laboratory‑based testing activities to ensure operational readiness and customer satisfaction. Provide technical leadership in quality engineering practices, test automation frameworks, and testing methodologies, mentoring other engineers and promoting continuous improvement across the organization. Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Architecture, Operations, and Support teams to identify quality risks early, influence design decisions, and establish effective quality gates for product releases. Own quality metrics, release readiness assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives, using data‑driven insights to enhance product reliability, test effectiveness, and engineering efficiency.

Relevant Work Experience

• Ideally 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong track record of defining test strategies, executing manual and automated testing, validating software and hardware‑integrated solutions in laboratory environments, and leading quality initiatives across Agile development teams. Experience mentoring other engineers, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to CI/CD and test automation practices is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of software quality engineering practices.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of API and integration testing.
• Experience validating solutions that combine software and physical devices.
• Knowledge of quality metrics, reporting, and release governance.

• Understand customer workflows, operational processes, and business objectives to ensure testing activities validate real‑world usage scenarios, customer expectations, and business outcomes, not only technical requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of how software, devices, integrations, and supporting services contribute to the overall product offering, enabling effective risk assessment and prioritization of quality efforts based on business impact.
• Apply a customer‑centric mindset when evaluating product quality, balancing functional correctness, usability, reliability, compliance, and operational readiness to support successful product releases and customer satisfaction.
