Perle Systems is seeking expert Portuguese (European) transcribers to convert audio recordings into precise transcripts. You will work on projects requiring expert linguistic judgment, including orthography decisions, speaker attribution, and handling non-speech events.

Applicants must have native Portuguese fluency with Portugal or Brazil immersion and at least two years of professional transcription experience. Flexible scheduling and per-task compensation are offered.

Qualificações

• Native fluency in Portuguese with residence in Portugal or Brazil.
• Mastery of Portuguese orthography per the current Acordo Ortografico.
• Ability to distinguish European and Brazilian Portuguese in transcription decisions.
• Strong ear for regional accents within your declared variety.
• At least two years of professional transcription, captioning, court reporting, broadcast, translation, or linguistic annotation experience.
• Demonstrated accuracy at the word level under deadline pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned written text following project guides.
• Apply conventions for speaker IDs, overlapping speech, disfluencies, and non-speech events.
• Make principled orthographic decisions for dialectal and code-switched speech.
• Flag ambiguous segments and audio quality issues per project conventions.
• Self-review submissions against quality standards before delivery.
• Collaborate with QA reviewers on edge cases and style updates.
