Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the extension, maintenance, and evolution of the DART platform codebase on AWS.

You will own Terraspace/Terraform modules, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and IaC tooling, while developing Python-based services and automating Kafka/Confluent workloads in a modern cloud environment. This role emphasizes architecture, automation, and collaboration across teams.

What will you do?

• Lead the extension, maintenance, and evolution of the DART platform codebase, ensuring its architectural integrity and functionality.
• Act as the architectural backup for the lead developer, owning Terraspace/Terraform modules, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation tooling.
• Design, implement, and extend Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules using Terraspace/Terraform.
• Develop and maintain Python-based containerized Kafka consumer services on AWS ECS Fargate and AWS Lambda REST APIs.
• Automate Confluent Cloud and Kafka artifacts, including custom Docker images and Helm deployments for new connector types.

What are we looking for?

At Aubay, our focus is on professionals who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset:

• Proven DevOps experience, particularly in platform engineering or data engineering roles, with at least 4 years of professional experience.
• Strong AWS Cloud expertise, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch, with a preference for AWS certifications.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloud APIs to automate provisioning, deployment, system performance, and infrastructure scaling using tools like Terraspace, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Helm.
• Solid programming skills in Python or Bash/Zsh for developing automation scripts and infrastructure tooling.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD Systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, and proficiency in Git workflows, pipelines, and branching strategies.
• Experience with streaming platforms, including Kafka cluster management and operations, AVRO schemas, and Schema Registry, and demonstrated ability to implement AWS Lambda or AWS ECS Fargate architectures.
