Hiscox in Lisbon is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to shape the engineering direction within Enterprise Tech. You will lead software development and integrations, set standards, and mentor engineers across teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, SDLC practices, security, observability, and collaboration with Solution Architecture, InfoSec, Data Engineering, and product owners. Hybrid work model and strong growth culture.

Qualificações

Proven software engineering delivering complex, production-grade solutions.
Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
Architect, design, build, and run robust solutions; strong MS stack knowledge.

Responsabilidades

Scope of delivery & technical leadership for applications and integrations across Group Functions.
Define and lead SDLC practices, code reviews, CI/CD, release/change management.
Ensure production ownership, reliability, observability, and incident management.
Embed secure-by-design practices and policy compliance.
Partner with Solution Architecture, InfoSec, Data Engineering, and product owners to shape roadmaps.
Coach engineers, drive upskilling, and foster an inclusive culture.
Manage vendor engagement and day-to-day engineering partnerships.
