Job summary

IT House is recruiting a Senior Network Engineer for a client in the insurance sector, based in Lisbon. You will design, deploy and evolve Data Center and Cloud Network infrastructure, leveraging NSX-T, ACI, VPN, and security technologies to meet business needs.

The role requires advanced automation skills with Terraform, Ansible and Python, plus L3 support, robust documentation, and collaboration across AXA IT Services and partners in a global environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related domain.
• 8+ years of network experience in international/matrix environments.
• Deep expertise in Data Center and Cloud Network infrastructure (NSX-T, ACI, SASE, VPN, Firewall, Web Gateway).
• Strong knowledge of network automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• Experience with load balancers, switch fabrics and security tech (Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto, F5, McAfee).
• Fluent English; able to work in global teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to digital transformation and One Network initiatives.
• Design, deploy, and evolve data center and cloud network infra with NSX-T/ACI.
• Define secure, robust network solutions aligned with business needs.
• Provide advanced NSX-T and ACI expertise for production deployments.
• Lead design and assessment activities, propose standardized solutions.
• Support Data Center transformations and legacy transitions.
• Contribute to network automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Provide Level 3 production support and incident resolution.
• Produce technical docs and knowledge transfer materials.
• Coordinate with AXA IT Services and technology partners.
