A technology consulting firm in Portugal is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to manage network infrastructure and ensure high performance and security. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience, strong expertise in Cisco equipment, and knowledge of network protocols. This position allows for remote work and offers health insurance and training opportunities.

Qualificações

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong expertise with Cisco or similar networking equipment.
Proven knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
Hands-on experience with firewalls and VPN management.

We have offices in Lisbon and Oporto and we are a specialized consultant in Management, Implementation, Development and Maintenance of Information Systems. What will you be doing?

Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure using Cisco or similar networking equipment.
Manage and troubleshoot network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, stability, and scalability.
Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and security policies.
Work with load balancers to support traffic distribution and optimize application performance (F5 experience is a plus).
Collaborate closely with cross-functional infrastructure teams (Wintel, Security, Unix, Backup) to ensure aligned operations and project execution.
Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues in production environments.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Support stakeholders and users by understanding needs and providing technical guidance.

What are we looking for?

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Network or Systems Administration role.
Strong expertise with Cisco or similar enterprise network equipment.
Proven knowledge of network protocols and services: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
Hands‑on experience with firewalls, VPN management, and network security policies.
Experience with load balancer technologies (F5 BIG-IP is an advantage).
Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, F5 BIG-IP, Checkpoint, ITIL Foundation (plus).
