Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with CCIE certification in Switching and extensive Wi-Fi experience. This role focuses on troubleshooting converged networks and resolving complex issues escalated from other engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diagnostic skills, including expertise in reading and interpreting packet captures using tools like Wireshark, with a strong background in switching, routing, and wireless technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Network Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting for escalated network issues, leveraging expertise in converged networks including switching, routing, and Wi-Fi. Diagnose and resolve complex problems to ensure high network performance and reliability.
• Packet Capture Analysis: Use diagnostic tools such as Wireshark to analyze packet captures, identify root causes like packet loss, latency, misconfigurations, and security issues.
• Escalation Management: Own problems escalated from other teams, providing expert analysis and resolution. Collaborate across teams to address incidents and prevent future issues.
• Wi-Fi Network Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi networks, addressing connectivity, interference, performance, and security issues. Apply best practices for deployment and management.
• Converged Network Support: Support LAN, WAN, and wireless environments, troubleshooting VoIP, video, and data traffic to ensure seamless communication.
• Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance proactively, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent outages.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of troubleshooting activities, configurations, diagnostics, and resolutions. Generate reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Guide junior engineers, sharing expertise in troubleshooting techniques and best practices. Promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• Certifications: CCIE in Switching and Routing required; additional Wi-Fi certifications are a plus.
• Experience: 7-10 years in network engineering focusing on switching, routing, and Wi-Fi in complex, multi-vendor environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Cisco switching/routing (Catalyst, Nexus).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus).
• Advanced packet capture analysis skills with Wireshark.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, 802.11 standards.
• Familiarity with network security protocols: RADIUS, 802.1x, encryption.
