Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services – Portugal in Porto seeks a skilled Cloud/API engineer to design and maintain cloud-based services and REST APIs. You will implement authentication and integration solutions, ensure code quality, and support CI/CD with DevOps practices in an international, Agile environment.

You will collaborate with architects and product owners, contribute to security and scalability, and participate in continuous improvement as part of a large European hub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proven experience with C# and .NET technology stacks.
• Experience designing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization concepts including OAuth2, OpenID Connect or SAML.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High initiative, ownership and accountability.
• Experience in Agile teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based services and APIs.
• Develop authentication, authorization and integration solutions.
• Create technical specifications and solution designs.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Perform incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Provide 3rd level support for productive systems.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and international stakeholders.
• Contribute to platform scalability, resilience and security.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the adoption of cloud-native development practices.
