Job summary

Moniepoint Group is seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer (POS-Terminal) to lead the architecture of our POS terminal solutions. You will ensure security, scalability, performance, and reliability across Android Native and cross‑platform apps, including scheduling and maintenance tools.

As a senior engineer, you will mentor teams, define engineering standards, participate in hiring, and collaborate with product partners to align the technical vision with business goals across our POS portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in system design, architecture and development for POS terminals.
• Strong expertise in Android Native (Java/Kotlin) for POS solutions.
• Experience in cross‑platform mobile development (Flutter) and familiarity with C/JavaScript.
• Deep knowledge of EMV security protocols, encryption and key management.
• Hardware integration with POS devices and payment systems architecture.
• Experience leading engineers, setting best practices and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions with security, scalability and performance in mind.
• Develop and maintain architectural documents and diagrams for POS systems.
• Make architectural decisions on POS software, integrating payment technologies and EMV standards.
• Lead development of POS-related applications and ensure integration with hardware.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for Android Native development.
• Mentor engineering teams and participate in hiring processes.
