Job summary

Entrust in Portugal (Lisboa) is seeking a Senior ML Engineer for the Document Extraction team. You will build high-accuracy document classification and extraction capabilities used across millions of identity documents, delivering secure onboarding experiences.

You will work with Applied Science, Product, Design, and Data Science to design scalable ML systems, leverage LLMs and traditional ML, and optimize inference for real-time processing. Hybrid/Remote options apply.

Qualifications

• You've built, deployed, and operated complex ML systems in production.
• You've worked with LLMs in production—fine-tuning models, building inference pipelines, or evaluating performance.
• You're comfortable with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Triton and productionizing ML.
• You take complex projects from idea through design, implementation, and production.
• Our services are Python-based, with Ruby and Typescript, on AWS with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly accurate and performant document classification and extraction across thousands of documents globally.
• Lead the technical design from RFC through implementation to production deployment.
• Build production ML systems with repeatable training, evaluating, and deploying pipelines.
• Implement GPU optimizations for inference and design advanced labeling workflows to improve model accuracy.
• Champion performance, scalability, and reliability in production systems.
