Job summary

The Bosch Group, Inc. in Portugal is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop 3D mechanical concepts and detailed part lists for customized machines and tools used in advanced assembly lines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical and operational requirements, lead concept development with manufacturability and reliability in mind, and manage product data in Autodesk Vault PDM.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in machine or equipment development.
• 3D CAD design experience (Autodesk Inventor or similar).
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems; Autodesk Vault is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D mechanical concepts and detailed part lists for customized machines and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Lead mechanical concept development with manufacturability, reliability and maintenance in mind.
• Manage product data using Autodesk Vault PDM system.
• Conduct on-site acceptance testing at supplier facilities to verify specifications.
• Ensure equipment availability across industrialization milestones.
