Job summary

DXC Technology Portugal is seeking a Mainframe Senior Support Engineer to join our Mainframe Services team. You will deliver high-quality operational services, ensuring stability, availability, and performance of critical Mainframe environments.

The role collaborates with customer-facing teams and ITIL-aligned operations to drive excellence, maintain documentation, mentor colleagues, and support change and problem management in a fast-paced enterprise context.

Qualifications

Five+ years of hands-on Mainframe experience in a senior support/engineering role.
Strong understanding of Mainframe infrastructure and operations.
Good knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Technology Leads, Service Delivery teams and customer support organizations.
Develop and maintain understanding of customer environments and priorities.
Manage incidents per ITIL and SLAs.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Maintain and enhance technical documentation and procedures.
Participate in change management and planning activities.
Support problem management and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Contribute to technical projects and platform enhancements.
Deliver technical guidance and knowledge sharing sessions.
