Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Portugal is seeking a Senior Java Tech Lead to guide the design and delivery of enterprise applications within a regulated pharmaceutical ecosystem. You will define architecture, drive technical excellence, and mentor development teams to build secure, scalable solutions.

Requirements include a BS/MS in CS or SE, 8+ years of Java experience, and hands-on leadership with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD and DevOps practices. Hybrid Lisbon office 2 days a week.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise.
Proven experience in technical leadership and software architecture design.
Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and enterprise app development.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of security, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
Experience conducting code reviews and promoting development best practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
