Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our growing team in Portugal. You will develop and maintain server-side applications and drive modernization initiatives using Java 17+ in a fast-paced environment.

You will design features, build integrations, and ensure quality, security, and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree and strong English communication are expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Experience with application modernization, migration, or refactoring initiatives.
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain server-side apps and core platform components.
Design and implement new features for business-critical systems.
Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
Ensure applications meet standards of quality, security, performance, and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, high-performance, and testable code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
Support releases, maintenance, and production deployments.
Gather requirements and deliver technical solutions with stakeholders.
Provide advanced production support and troubleshoot issues.
