Decskill is growing and seeks a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid role in Porto. You will translate stories into functional apps, design scalable code, and ensure high performance. Collaborate with Product Owner to meet timelines, resolve issues, and maintain quality through code reviews.

Required 5+ years in Java with Spring Boot, AWS, microservices, and container tech. Frontend knowledge (React/Angular) is a plus, as is Node.js and PostgreSQL. English proficiency is mandatory.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Microservices architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Frontend experience with React.js or Angular is a plus.
• Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Solid grasp of API security and data privacy best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and driving processes within a team.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD, Gitflow, and IaC.
• Excellent problem-solving and proactive collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applications.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to align with business requirements and timelines.
• Prioritize and resolve client issues while adhering to SLA.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to design of critical features.
• Flag technical debt and document improvements for prioritization.
• Implement robust documentation for knowledge transfer and onboarding.
• Identify bottlenecks and operational bugs and devise fixes.
• Follow Agile Scrum processes for application development.
