Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and deliver scalable, secure software solutions within complex healthcare environments, and to grow towards a Software Architect role.

You will build backend services, APIs with Java and Spring Boot, participate in architectural decisions, and help implement CI/CD, testing, and observability practices. This role offers hands-on design leadership and clear progression toward architecture.

Qualificações

YOUR PROFILE

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, resilient, and secure software solutions within complex healthcare environments. You will:

• Contribute to the design and evolution of scalable and maintainable application architectures.
• Participate in technical decision-making, helping to define solution designs and integration approaches.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate closely with architects and senior technical leaders, gaining exposure to architecture best practices and design principles.
• Support the adoption of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Contribute to integration initiatives with internal and external systems, ensuring interoperability, security, and performance.
• Evaluate technologies and propose improvements to address technical and business challenges.
• Take ownership of technical deliverables while developing greater autonomy in solution design and architectural thinking.

YOUR ROLE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong expertise in:
• Java and Spring Boot ecosystem;
• REST APIs and system integrations;
• Messaging technologies and event-driven architectures;
• CI/CD practices and implementation;
• Docker and Kubernetes platforms;
• Application servers such as Tomcat.
• Experience in software design and implementation of scalable solutions.
• Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and modern development practices.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, testing, and security practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional English.
